Stepping Up to the Desk
The scene opens inside a sunlit military hangar, where a wooden intake desk has been set up near the open bay doors.
Warm daylight floods the concrete floor behind a seated intake officer in camouflage field uniform, a clipboard and desktop keyboard arranged in front of her.
Standing across from her, duffel bag strap over her shoulder, is a young female medic standing tall and composed.

The camera holds over her shoulder as the officer looks up from her paperwork, pen pausing, ready to begin the routine check-in.
Two Words: 'Specialist, Medical'
"Name and rank?" the intake officer asks, her tone crisp and professional. It is the standard opening for every arrival — direct, administrative, without flourish.
"Specialist, Medical," the young soldier answers, meeting the officer's gaze straight on. Her voice is calm and measured, her posture disciplined as she delivers the brief, regulation reply.

The Record Search Begins
With a nod, the officer turns from the clipboard to the computer beside her. The next moments are filled only with the rapid tapping of keys as she enters the information and pulls up the file.
The camera tightens on her hands and then on the screen's glow, holding on her focused expression as her fingers pause over the keyboard.
What appears on that record is still to come — for now, the intake is just procedure, quiet and by the book.
