A Recording Stops the Room Cold
The scene opens in a grand, marble foyer lined with white columns and tall windows.
Maria, dressed in a dark maid's uniform with white trim, holds baby Ethan close to her shoulder as she stands in the middle of the room, trying to comfort him.
Daniel, in a dark suit, stares intently at his phone. His eyes widen in shock as Victoria's voice comes clearly through the speaker: "Nobody is going to believe a maid over me." He pauses the video, and the foyer falls silent.

"Did You Say That?"
Maria looks down. Victoria's face goes pale as Daniel turns to her and asks directly, "Did you say that?" Caught by her own recorded words, Victoria tries to explain, saying simply that she was angry.
Daniel does not let it go. He presses play again, and more of the exchange is heard. On the recording, Maria can be heard telling Victoria that Ethan was frightened, pleading for the child's sake.

A Father Takes Sides
Victoria's response on the recording makes the moment worse. She tells Maria that Daniel would never question her version of events. Daniel stops the recording a second time, and this time his anger is obvious.
In the final moment, Daniel holds Ethan himself, wrapped tightly in a white blanket against his chest. Behind him, Victoria in a red dress watches with her mouth open in shock, as the power in the room shifts completely.
